Queensland Cricket is seeking an exceptional People & Culture Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the role

The role of the People & Culture Manager is to oversee and manage the daily operations of all matters People, Culture & Safety related, while ensuring compliance with legislation, as well as internal policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the People & Culture Manager’s responsibilities will include;

  • Assist in developing and driving the People & Culture Strategy
  • Full end to end HR function management including recruitment, employee lifecycle etc.
  • Develop and drive our L&D function to continue to engage and develop staff
  • Coaching and developing our people leaders
  • Facilitate performance related processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
  • Be the main point of contact for all grievances, employee disputes etc.
  • Participate in and lead project initiatives to improve and implement HR processes, practices and procedures

About you

The successful applicant must have:

  • 3-5 years practical HR experience in a professional environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Human Resources, WHS or related discipline
  • Exceptional technical knowledge and understanding of generalist HR skills and employee relations processes
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Fair Work Act, Award and other relevant employment law
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with demonstrated experience in tailoring these to suit a range of audiences
  • Strong time management and organisational skills and attention to detail to manage work, competing deadlines and sensitive projects
