About the role
SACA is looking for an experienced Assistant Coach – Men’s Programs to join our High-Performance Cricket team. The Assistant Coach will work with our Head Coach’s to deliver the South Australia & Adelaide Strikers BBL Coaching Programs with a keen focus on player development, fielding and/or spin bowling.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with the design, implementation and assessment of individual and team coaching programs for the male high-performance squads
- Facilitate and develop fielders and/or spin bowlers
- All player plans are documented and recorded appropriately
- Play an active role in delivering consistent key messaging across the coaching groups to ensure clarity and understanding
- Produce technical fielding and/or spin support & advice and solutions.
- Develop policies and frameworks as required, to improve our service delivery
- Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships and partnerships
- Ensure adherence to appropriate standards of safety and wellbeing
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations including MOU and department specific contractual arrangements.
- Demonstrate a team-based approach to achieving the best outcomes for SACA in accordance with SACA’s ‘How We Play’
Requirements:
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Would also be great if you have…
- Three years of experience working in elite cricket programs in Australia or Internationally
- Level 3 Cricket Australia Coaching Accreditation or equivalent internationally recognised certification
- Strong results orientation with the proven ability to plan and deliver results
- Ability to develop and maintain positive media relations coupled with strong presentation skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to positively influence and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Effective people management skills
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Sound ability in the use of PC based software applications
