We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the General Manager of the Community Cricket Department. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable participation growth and enhancing the overall health of cricket in South Australia.
About the role
As the General Manager, you will develop and implement strategic initiatives to increase cricket participation at all levels. Your leadership will ensure that our programs are accessible, inclusive, and meet the diverse needs of our community.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to boost cricket participation and promote inclusivity.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of leaders, coaches and employees’ dedicated to community cricket.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with cricket clubs, schools, local councils, and community partners.
- Program Development and Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of community cricket programs.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion within SACA and across all community cricket programs.
We are looking for a someone with:
· Proven experience in a senior leadership role, responsible for multidisciplinary teams, preferably within a sports or community organisation.
· Strong strategic planning and program or project management skills.
· Experience developing individuals and teams, including demonstrated experience engaging and empowering team members to deliver strategic outcomes
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
· Passion for cricket and a commitment to promoting its growth and development.
· Experience in budget management and securing funding.
