The Position
The Commercial Sales Executive will have experience in selling premium packages and managing the accounts of key clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals to large corporates. They will proactively sell Premium Packages, Memberships, Group Sales, Debentures and Hospitality throughout the 12 month sale cycle.
As part of a small but high functioning team you will be keen to get on the phones to consultative sell, be tasked with assisting in generating new sales, increasing revenues and hitting targets through new and existing premium clients, as well as supporting the wider Commercial Team.
Requirements
PREMIUM SALES
- Proactively sell Ticket + / Premium packages for all Domestic Cricket at the Kia Oval
- Maintain the SCCC booking process and fulfilment of all bookings before matchdays
- Effective communication with clients and members
- Adopt the proactive sales strategy to grow new sales
- Proactively generate sales and reactively sell both domestic and international premium packages to hit monthly targets
- Record all sales activity on Salesforce, managing a personal pipeline ensuring all data is up to date
- Maintain accurate data input in Secutix with all ticket sales
- Responsible for personally developing new and existing business
- Supporting the Operations team on matchdays ensuring all premium areas are in the same condition as they were sold
- Contact all clients before and after matchdays with relevant information and after sales care
- Client visits on every matchday
AUXILIARY AREAS
- Assist in sales for Hospitality, Debentures, Membership On sale Days and support the MASS Team
- Be a representative for SCCC
- Account management for all clients
- Achieve agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and targets set by Head of Hospitality Sales
- Aim to always meet customer needs and exceed customer expectations
- Consistently ensure the highest standards of accurate and timely customer, staff and management information
- Be an active team member sharing ideas and participating in team spirit
- Always maintain excellent product knowledge
- Participate in sales promotions and applicable familiarisation trips
- Be aware of competitor activities & industry trends
- Proactive in building relationships and encourage cross-selling / up-selling to existing club partners
- Network throughout the events, hospitality and sporting industry
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:
Essential:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate and convey key messages by phone, email and face-to-face
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Good organisation skills
- Personal resilience, with the ability to self-motivate
- A proven track record in sales, including developing new business
- Experience of working to targets and deadlines
- Ability to work under own initiative
Desirable:
- Use of Salesforce / Ticketing systems
- Black book of clients
- Previous experience of outbound sales
- Experience of working within sports/events

Up to £30,000 dependant on experience
