>> Job Role

Improve the performance of the Sri Lanka Cricket teams by improving psychological resilience and motivating them to reach optimal international sporting standards.

>> Main Job Responsibilities
• Work closely with elite level cricketers to improve their on-field performance to be on par or better than other international cricketers
• Assist with any difficulties the cricketers have in their personal lives which could be hampering performance
• Work closely with the coaching staff and medical panel of Sri Lanka Cricket and provide a collective plan to improve the psychological strength of the entire squad and improve team work within the Sri Lanka Cricket Team
•  Provide a customized management plan for cricketers with specific psychological issues and feedback to coaching/medical staff on how they should be best managed
• Identify serious mental health/addiction issues if present among cricketers and refer
appropriately

>> Required Qualifications
• PhD/MPhil/Masters/BSc in Psychology with added qualifications in Sports Psychology
• Experience of working as a Sports Psychologist with elite sporting teams
• Priority will be given to candidates with a sound knowledge of cricket and experience working with cricket teams/cricketers. (However candidates who have worked with other sports will also be considered)
• Proficiency in Sinhala and Tamil is preferred
• Male candidate over the age of 30 years is preferred for the role
