The Position
The Team Operations Executive will positively contribute towards the success of women’s and girls’ cricket at Surrey by providing operational and administrative support to the new Women’s Elite Domestic Structure.
This exciting role will play a key part in the new Surrey Women and Girls Pathway and will suit those with initiative, a can-do attitude, an ability to problem solve producing workable solutions and a commitment to help continue the drive in professionalising the women’s and girls’ game.
Reporting to the Team Operations Manager, the role will be based at the Kia Oval. It will involve both written and oral communication skills, excellent organisational and IT skills and the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and often to tight deadlines. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record who will flourish in a high performing environment and have a positive impact on those around.
Requirements
What you’ll do
- Provide operational and administrative support across the Women and Girls Pathway with a particular focus on support for our Academy, Emerging Player Programme and County Age Group Programmes, ensuring high standards in planning, communication, and safeguarding
- Collaborate with coaches, managers, and venue staff to arrange and manage fixtures for all pathway programmes. Including the set up of fixtures up, and liaising with scorers, umpires, hotels and caterers to ensure all matchday requirements are met
- Ensure all players are registered through the appropriate channels
- Provide administrative support to talent pathway squads including training schedules, reporting, and logistical coordination
- Manage communication and feedback channels with players and parents regarding pathway programmes, maintaining transparency and clarity
- Coordinate with clubs and other facility providers to meet training and match requirements for pathway programmes
- Arrange playing and training kit and other equipment requirements for all talent pathway activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all pathway programmes, participants, and venues. Ensuring all staff have the correct, up to date qualifications, or setting them up/signposting them to these online
- Provide medical admin support to the Science and Medicine team as directed by the Medical Services Lead
- Conduct and ensure comprehensive risk assessments for all venues used for training, matches, and travel in conjunction with Surrey Health and Safety Lead
- Responsibility for player appearance organisation across all programmes
- Ensure the key safeguarding and welfare policies are in place for players and staff
- Provide additional support to the Director of Women’s Cricket with documentation and logistics planning where needed

The Person
The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:
Essential:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A good level of understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Powerpoint and Excel, with demonstrable experience of using Excel to collate and process large volumes of data
- Demonstrable experience of communicating clearly and concisely through both written and verbal communication to deliver services and information to various stakeholders
- An ability and demonstrable experience of using your initiative and high levels of problem serving skills to achieve goals and key objectives within certain timeframes
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the cricket season.
- Valid DBS check and child protection certification
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
- Valid UK driving licence
Desirable:
- A high level of understanding of professional sport and experience of being involved within sport in a non-playing capacity, preferably in cricket
- Previous experience in sports administration
