The MCG is the venue for the Sixers’ final two games before Finals including the club’s annual BBL Pride Party match
The match against the Hobart Hurricanes on Sunday is a very important match on the calendar for the Sixers celebrating the support of the LGBT+ community.
The Sixers are committed to using education to create a safe environment for the LGBT+ community to watch and play cricket and have developed a 3-year strategy aimed at delivering upon this purpose.
Due to border restrictions and related impacts associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the Pride Party match cannot be held in Sydney, but the club will host a gathering of the Sixers LGBT+ Supporter group who will cheer on from afar.
Despite a 46-run loss to the Sydney Thunder at Adelaide Oval on Friday night, the Sixers remain top of the BBL|10 ladder, but with the Perth Scorchers and Thunder closing in, two wins in the remaining regular season matches is key to gaining the double chance in the five-team Finals series.
v. Hobart Hurricanes
13 matches. 5 wins, 7 losses and one no result.
Fast bowler Sean Abbott currently sits on 99 BBL wickets.
The Sixers 19-player squad will be trimmed to 13 players and the final 11 announced at the bat flip.
