Sydney Sixers players Mickey and Jack Edwards have tested positive to COVID-19 and will not be available for the Sixers’ next match at the SCG on Wednesday night.

Both players are doing well and are being monitored by medical staff.

Sixers’ teammate Daniel Hughes, who was injured during warm up before last night’s loss to the Perth Scorchers and unable to take the field, has been diagnosed with a left ankle lateral ligament injury.

Hughes will continue with around the clock treatment in a bid to be ready to play on Wednesday night.

The Sixers return to Sydney tomorrow.
