The Sydney Sixers are an Australian professional Twenty20 cricket team competing in the Big Bash League (BBL). Based at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the Sixers, along with the Sydney Thunder, succeeded the New South Wales Blues from the now-defunct KFC Twenty20 Big Bash.

The Sydney Sixers have announced a 13-player squad for their sixth match of BBL|09 – the game against the Melbourne Renegades, to be played at Marvel Stadium tomorrow night.

There are two changes to the group that defeated the Sydney Thunder in a Super Over thriller at the SCG last Saturday.

Veteran spinner Steve O’Keefe and pace bowler Mickey Edwards both return to the squad, replacing Hayden Kerr and the injured Sean Abbott.

Abbott was earlier this week ruled out for the upcoming games with a moderate side strain. The seamer will travel with the squad as he continues his rehab.
