Chamberlain to feature on front of Thunder’s WBBL kit this summer
Sydney Thunder is proud to announce Chamberlain, the world’s largest manufacturer of garage door openers, has escalated its commitment to female sport by becoming the Official Partner of Thunder’s WBBL championship winning team.
Chamberlain’s logo will this season appear on the front of the Rachael Haynes-captained Thunder shirt as her team defends the WBBL|06 title it won after embracing – and playing – their “fearless” brand of cricket.
Indeed, Chamberlain supported the triumphant Thunder squad every step of the way throughout last summer’s unforgettable campaign, with its name proudly emblazoned on the back and the sleeve of the team’s playing shirt.
Chamberlain’s decision to upgrade their support is a vote of confidence in Sydney Thunder’s enduring commitment to high performance; service to their community, and mission to inspire young girls and boys to love cricket.
Marketing Director Grant Emanuel said: “The partnership with Sydney Thunder & the WBBL is a perfect fit with our passion for helping families and the local community to stay safe and to have fun together. We are extremely proud to extend our partnership even further this year and can’t wait to see the continued growth of Women’s cricket in Australia.”
Chamberlain has built an enviable reputation as the ‘Do It Yourself’ brand that provides families with ‘access and convenience’ solutions through its wide selection of garage door openers.
The company provides high quality and reliable products that allow families convenient ways to access their homes, whether it’s via a remote control or app which features state-of-the-art myQ smart home functionality.
Chamberlain’s full range of products is available at Bunnings stores across Australia.
Sydney Thunder’s General Manager – Commercial Experience Ben Hirschfeld, described Chamberlain’s support as Thunder’s Official Partner as a brilliant result for both the club and women’s cricket.
“When Chamberlain, a company acknowledged as a global force in its field, commits itself to a sporting team such as Sydney Thunder, it indicates the players their club, and their sport, are enjoying great respect,” said Hirschfeld.
“It’s no secret women’s cricket is booming. And thanks to that popularity, we have young girls and boys throughout Australia who are being inspired by some outstanding female athletes.
“The fact Chamberlain is on board as Sydney Thunder’s Official Partner will go a long way towards the continued growth and prosperity of women’s cricket.”
