Thunder and HomeWorld recognise the unprecented difficulties that our community has faced this year, from drought and bushfires to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

HomeWorld is committed to supporting cricket clubs across the Thunder Nation with the chance to receive a one-off donation of up to $2,000. These grants will provide local clubs with much-needed financial assistance to foster home-grown talent where it all begins.

Last season saw five cricket clubs from across the Thunder Nation recieve HomeWorld Helper Grants, including Trundle Cricket Club from Far West NSW who were able to purchase new playing shirts for their junior players.

“It has been a tough few years for drought affected cricket communities in Far West NSW,” said NSW Far West Cricket Manager Matt Ellis.

“When Trundle Cricket Club were looking to update their player uniforms, the HomeWorld Helper Grant provided a fantastic avenue to ease the financial burden of doing so.

“The kids love wearing a team uniform and the shirts that the club have purchased through the HomeWorld Helper Grant look magnificent.”

HomeWorld Director of Marketing and Sponsorship Trudi Busch is excited to continue to support grassroots cricket across the Thunder Nation.

“It has been great to see the HomeWorld Helper Grants being used by cricket clubs when they have needed some additional support,” said Busch.

“It is important that grass roots cricket is supported across NSW, and that everyone has the chance to play and enjoy this great sport.”

Applications are open from Sunday 19 October 2020 and will close on Friday 5 December 2020 at 5:00pm AEDT. Grants of up to $2,000 are available.
