The first two Test matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia will be broadcast live and free from Sydney Olympic Park as the NSW Government prepare to transform Cathy Freeman Park into a into a live-site.
A large live screen as well as plenty of activations will take over the precinct, with the site set to service cricket fans throughout the first three days of action, starting 9 February. Play is expected to run from 3.00pm to 10.30pm.
The Sydney Thunder bus will be present throughout the duration of the first Test, with an inflatable catching activation and information on how to register for your local cricket club made available.
Thunder Nation crew will also be on hand during the Test’s scheduled lunch break (roughly 5pm subject to rain delays), to host a come and try Cricket Blast session.

Cricket Australia CEO, Nick Hockley, described the live site as an opportunity for families to get together and for emerging cricketing talents to witness their heroes in action.
“There is incredible excitement and anticipation for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Test series between Australia and India, two of the top teams in world cricket.” Hockley said.
“We thank the NSW Government for providing an opportunity for fans to come together in Western Sydney to watch and celebrate this iconic series.”
NSW Premier, Dominic Perrottet, said the Sydney Olympic Park site was the perfect place to bring cricket fans together.
“Our nations may be fierce competitors on the cricket pitch but the connections between our two cultures have never been stronger and I am sure we’ll see that come to life when fans of both cricket teams come together at Olympic Park,” Perrottet said.
