Thor pays surprise visit to Castle Hill
Nothing could wipe the smile off Mitchell Gardner’s face when he met Thor, one of Sydney Thunder’s mascots, who visited him to thank him for his support and present him with his Junior Member pack for this season.
Thor surprised 7-year-old Mitchell at his home in Castle Hill where a Sydney Thunder cricket afternoon was being held with eight of his friends.
Mitchell is a Junior Member of the Thunder Nation and was taken to his first game when he was just six months old by Mum and Dad.

“I can’t believe he actually came to my house Mum. My friends aren’t going to believe me at school tomorrow can I take a photo,” Mitchell said to his Mum, Lucinda.
Mitchell’s favourite player is Chris Green.
His mum said the Gardner family were passionate Thunder Nation fans.
“We’d been members for some time and thought we enjoy cricket together as a family and we gave him the choice as to whether he wanted to come to Sydney Thunder games when he was old enough,” Lucinda said.
“When we said: ‘what team do you want to go for?’ He was like you’re always wearing green; I want to go green as well.”
