Fresh from standout KFC Big Bash League seasons, Daniel Sams and Tanveer Sangha are set to be part of Australia’s upcoming Qantas T20I Tour of New Zealand.

Teenage leg-spinner Sangha was recognised by national selectors for the first time off the back of his breakout BBL campaign.

Sangha is joined in the squad by powerful all-rounder Sams who made his limited-overs debut for Australia at the SCG in December.

After another brilliant BBL campaign, Alex Hales has returned to England for a short stint at home before hitting the road again.

The big-hitting opener will link up with Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, with the tournament set to begin on 21 February.

All-rounder Ben Cutting is also set to play in the PSL after being retained by the Quetta Gladiators, but not before finally tying the knot with fiance Erin Holland.

Sam Billings has also returned home after a long-stint on the road. The wicket-keeper batsman is expected to be named in England’s squad for their upcoming ODI and T20I matches in India.

A number of squad members will shift their focus to red-ball cricket with the Marsh Sheffield Shield set to resume on 12 February, while the Marsh One-Day Cup is due to begin on 16 February.

Matthew Gilkes, Nathan McAndrew, Jason Sangha, Chris Tremain, Ollie Davies, Arjun Nair and Baxter Holt will be available for the NSW Blues while Usman Khawaja and Brendan Doggett are contracted by the Queensland Bulls.

Thunder skipper Callum Ferguson retired from first-class cricket in November 2019 however will be available to represent South Australia in the One-Day Cup.
