The Momentum Multiply Titans will be searching for a return to fortunes in the CSA 1 Day Cup.

Two wins and two losses see the Sky Blues sitting in fifth position in the Division 1 standings, four games into the competition, and a good run of results will be a priority in the remaining round robin matches.

“The big thing for the games coming up will be finding our rhythm. When we win we win big and when the result doesn’t go our way there’s a feeling that things start falling apart.” Explained Titans Head Coach Mandla Mashimbyi.

The return of left-hand batter, Dean Elgar who missed the previous match due to family reasons, will be a lift for the Titans after they struggled to put up a competitive total with the bat in their last match against the North-West Dragons.

Elgar’s hit two centuries in three innings’ and will take over the captaincy from Sibonelo Makhanya when the Titans host the AET Tuskers on Wednesday at SuperSport Park.

Among the changes Mashimbyi has named right-hander Modiri Litheko in the match day 14 and he joins fellow youngster Matthew Boast in the squad.

Being at home for their bout against the Tuskers will bode well for the Titans when they come up against the newly promoted side from inland KZN. Familiarity with the conditions at SuperSport Park is a factor that the Titans will look to take full advantage of.

“We wouldn’t want it any other way to be honest. This will be our second game in a row at home and then we face Western Province here on Friday.” Mashimbyi explained. “Our responsibility is to exploit everything that plays into our advantage and fight hard to get the win on Wednesday.”

Tickets to the Wednesday afternoon encounter at SuperSport Park can be bought here and gates will be open from 11:00.
