Titans Cricket: Supersport Park and FNB Stadium cement a bond

The Titans, officially known as the Multiply Titans due to sponsorship, are a top-level cricket franchise in South Africa. Representing the Eastern Cricket Union and Northerns Cricket Union, their home venues are SuperSport Park in Centurion and Willowmoore Park in Benoni.

SuperSport Park Centurion and FNB Stadium have confirmed a formal affiliation. The Partnership will see the stadiums explore commercial and hospitality opportunities and co-hosting events.

The stadiums will actively seek opportunities to do structured knowledge sharing with the sports industry at large.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Stadium Management South Africa (Pty) Ltd and FNB Stadium.” SuperSport Park CEO Dr Jacques Faul stated. “SMSA manage a world class stadium and over the years have hosted some of the biggest events in the world of sport and entertainment.”

SuperSport Park continues to strive to be a multifunction venue of choice and with FNB Stadium’s track record of hosting some of the biggest concerts and festivals in the world they could not have found a better partner.

“They’ve hosted countless Soweto derbies and big football games, they’ve also done rugby, marathons and music festivals. All of that experience will be valuable to us in our goal of being a multipurpose facility.” Faul continued.

FNB Stadium is the biggest sports stadium in Africa one of the biggest in the world. They’ve had music concerts with some of the biggest artist in the world.

“We are in such a transformative time in our industry with challenges that have only been compounded due to the pandemic. The pandemic has revolutionized the way organizations plan and manage their events with so much more required from venue authorities in planning an execution” SMSA CEO Bertie Grobbelaar stated.

“We’re proud of this affiliation with SuperSport Park as we connect sports, sporting codes and facility management as venues reopen for spectators.”
