The Sky Blues are excited to announce their squads, featuring a blend of experienced players and fresh talent for both the Men’s and Women’s teams in the 2024/2025 season.

The Momentum Multiply Titans bid farewell to five players including Tladi Bokako, Matthew Kleinveldt, Aaron Phangiso, 2021/2022 Newcomer of the Year Aya Gqamane and Musa Twala. These players have made significant contributions to the team, and we wish them well in their new chapters. Their departure creates an opportunity for high performers to step up and shine.

The Titans Men’s squad welcomes nationally capped Keegan Peterson, Sisanda Magala, and Andile Phehlukwayo with Phehlukwayo’s inclusion sees the total number of CSA-contracted players in the squad at six.

Tsepo Ndwanda and Jhedli van Briseis have also joined the Sky Blues with the team boosted by the return of Titans Cricket legend Roelof van der Merwe, with Albie Morkel joining as a consultant to provide valuable guidance.

Titans Cricket Head Coach, Mandla Mashimbyi, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season. “While we bid farewell to valuable players, we wish them all the best in their future endeavours. We are confident that they will make significant contributions to their respective teams. However, we are equally excited about the new additions to our squad. Their skills and experience will undoubtedly strengthen our team and contribute to our success.”

For the Fidelity Titans Ladies, the squad will also see some changes. New recruits Pura Andreou and Alysia Rudolph join the Daisy Ladies, while the team bids farewell to Nicolien Janse Van Rensburg.

The squad will continue to be boosted by top performers such as Robyn Searle, Katherine Prior, Paulinah Mashishi, and Tebogo Macheke. The coaching staff has been reinforced with Gordon Matheson coming in as Head Coach and Athi Maphosa, taking on the role of Assistant Coach.

Coach Matheson shared his excitement for the upcoming season: “Working with the Titans Ladies has been a fantastic experience. The dedication and hard work they’ve put in during the off-season, including implementing new training plans and having one-on-one sessions, have been impressive. I’m looking forward to seeing the results of their efforts on the field, especially with the new additions to the squad.”

Titans Cricket CEO Dr. Jacques Faul expressed his optimism for the new season: “We are excited to welcome talented young players and to see the return of legend Roelof van der Merwe. Our men’s team will continue to feature Protea stars like Heinrich Klaasen, Tabraiz Shamsi, Aiden Markram, and Lungi Ngidi. For the women’s team, Anneke Bosch, Masabata Klaas, and Sune Luus remain key players. We are confident that even when our national stars are away on national duty, our team will remain strong due to the presence of top players in the squad.”

While we will miss those who are leaving, we wish them all the best as they start new journeys with various teams. At Titans Cricket, we are proud to grow legends, and we are eager to see what the newcomers will bring this season. We also extend our best wishes to Coach Gordon and Assistant Coach Athi as they lead the ladies’ team into a new era.

As the Titans prepare for the upcoming season, there is an intense sense of excitement and anticipation among players, coaches, and fans alike. With a strong squad and dedicated leadership, the club is ready to make a significant impact on the domestic cricket landscape.
