Cricket Scotland can confirm that Toby Bailey is moving on from Cricket Scotland, to pursue new opportunities, after 12 years with the governing body.

Toby has played a huge part in the development of Scottish cricket during the last decade and has filled several important positions, including as Assistant Coach and then Interim Head Coach of the Men’s national squad, Interim Head of Performance with responsibility for the men’s and women’s programmes, and in his most recent role as National Performance Coach.

The period he was in charge of Performance saw Scotland’s senior men’s and women’s teams lift three trophies and qualify for their respective ICC T20 World Cups in 2024, whilst he was instrumental in the introduction of women’s professional contracts.

Toby Bailey said:

“I would like to thank Cricket Scotland for developing my career as a coach and especially for supporting me through my ECB Level 4 and MSc Performance Psychology qualifications. I have made some great friends over the years in the Scottish cricket community and look forward to continuing those relationships in the future.

“I have fond memories of working with players throughout the male and female programs, from overseeing the women play their first T20i at The Grange, setting up the National Performance Academy and being part of the coaching staff on the historic day when the men’s team beat England. I wish the organisation all the very best for the future and will always keep a close eye on the progress of all the teams.”

Everyone at Cricket Scotland would like to thank Toby for his service over the years, particularly for his efforts to driving the development of the professional game across Scotland and wish him the very best for the future.
