USA Cricket is thrilled to announce that the USA Cricket U19 Men’s National Championship (Nationals) is set to take place from June 26th to June 29th, 2023. The original published dates of May 1st to May 7th have been changed to enable the previously selected Zonal Training groups sufficient time to prepare, and select their zonal teams to attend the Nationals. These Zonal training groups have been busy practicing in smaller hubs across the country, with intra-squad matches also on the agenda prior to the final zonal team selection deadline of 29th May.

The Nationals will be held at the Woodley Cricket Fields in Van Nuys, California, and is a great opportunity for the young cricket players selected to showcase their skills, compete against the best players in the country, and gain valuable experience. The tournament promises to be a thrilling event, with four days of intense competition, as teams battle it out to be crowned national champions.

The tournament also serves as a crucial selection tool for the USA Cricket U19 team, with the ICC U19 Americas 2024 World Cup Qualifier scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada from August 7-18, 2023. The National Youth Selectors will be in attendance in California, hoping to pick a squad that can emulate the recent success of our Men’s Team in Namibia.

We would like to invite cricket fans from all over the United States to come out and support their favorite teams at this exciting event. The Woodley Cricket Fields in Van Nuys is a fantastic venue, with great facilities and a vibrant atmosphere, making it the perfect setting for this prestigious tournament.

Further details, including a schedule, squad selection, and match officials will be announced in due course.

USA Cricket Development Manager, Jamie Lloyd said, “We’re really excited to be reprising this tournament after a one-year hiatus. The 2021 edition was probably our most successful domestic event ever, and we hope to build on that legacy in 2023. This is also a really important year for our U19 Team with a chance to qualify for the 2024 U19 World Cup on the line. The opportunity also takes on extra meaning following the disappointment of 2020.”
