USA Cricket is pleased to announce that, as at last night’s cut-off date for the first phase of the recent membership drive, very close to 20,000 individuals had been issued with unique USA Cricket IDs.

Chief Executive, Iain Higgins, noted that “This represents an overwhelming statement of support and desire from the cricket community to finally come together under the umbrella of one governing body, and for everybody to collectively play a role in how USA Cricket can achieve the twin vision of making cricket a mainstream sport in the USA and becoming a Full Member of the ICC.

We acknowledge that a number of people experienced difficulties throughout the registration period, and we share their frustration and disappointment. However, the technology team are now working through the issues that have arisen and will be providing support directly to all users who highlighted these concerns prior to the cut-off date, so that they are provided with an opportunity to complete their registration.

Given the size of the current player and cricket fanbase in the USA, there is so much more potential to grow the membership base by many multiples over the coming months and years, and to start to provide real commercial value back to all those who engage with the membership program and portal.  That is why the Board identified this activity as a key priority within its Foundational Plan, and we are delighted that so many people have taken steps to get involved at this early stage. On behalf of all at USA Cricket, we would like to thank all of the administrators across the country who have supported the membership drive over the past few weeks, and also a big thank you to all of those that have registered or attempted to register.

The immediate focus now turns to reconciling the data, dealing with all of outstanding issues and providing the Nominating & Governance Committee with the information it needs to be able to successfully oversee the most inclusive USA Cricket Board election process ever.”

For the time being, the membership portal remains open only for those wishing to register as Officials (i.e. Coaches, Match Officials, Volunteers) before the extended cut-off date of 11.59pm PST on March 22nd. Please click here to register as an official – https://my.usacricket.org/signup.  All other portal functionality has been disabled.

However, membership will continue to be available as soon as the portal becomes live again, and USA Cricket welcomes interest in the meantime from those Leagues, Clubs, Academies and other Organizations that have not yet become a part of the program.
