USA Cricket is pleased to announce that player registration is now open for the 2023 USA Cricket Intra-Regional Competition for Women and Girls.
The annual competition will be expanded in 2023 with each team playing a minimum number of 8xT20 and 4X40 over matches, during a ten-week season. Home and away fixtures will be organized locally by volunteer coordinators who will be responsible for arranging match dates and logistics, and generally support the successful implementation of the Intra-Regional program.
Julie Abbott, the USA Cricket Women’s Coordinator shared, “The Intra-Regionals is the official entry point and first step of the USA Cricket pathway leading to high-performance which makes it ideal for any female aged 13+ (as of May 1, 2023) wishing to play regularly or wanting to compete for a place on the regional or national team! We are really pleased to expand this competition in 2023 as it will give participants far more opportunity to play and showcase their talent over time, prior to the Regional Competition which is scheduled for July.” Abbott will work closely with the VWC’s (volunteer women coordinators) and support their efforts to make this the best year yet for women and girls’ domestic cricket in the USA.
Coach & Volunteer Registration and Player Registration are both open until 11PM PST Friday 24 February.
