USA Cricket: Reminder Alert – NGC announces call for applications for three Board Directors in 2021 Elections, Independent Director submissions now closed

The Nominating and Governance Committee (NGC) of USA Cricket would like to place a reminder alert on a call for candidates to fill three vacant positions of Directors on USA Cricket’s Board of Directors. The Men’s Player Director is for a 2-year term while the League and Individual Director positions are for 3-year terms.

The NGC can also confirm that the call for applications for the three independent director positions is now closed as of November 21, 2022 and would like to thank the wider community for their submissions.

One position will be for the Men’s Player Director; one position for the League Director; and one position for an Individual Director. This initial announcement serves to solicit the list of nominated candidates, allowing for the screening and shortlisting of this list based upon qualifications and eligibility. This will be followed by a second and final NGC announcement presenting the shortlisted Candidates who will compete for their respective positions via elections in accordance with the process set forth in USA Cricket’s Constitution.

Any individual who wishes to be considered, or to put forward by another person for consideration, is invited to submit their application by no later than 11.59 pm PST of December 4, 2022; and all applications must be sent to the e-mail address of ngc@usacricket.org

Eligible Candidates must be at least 18 years of age; and citizens or permanent residents of, and residing in the United States of America. Other details of eligibility criteria and an application form can be downloaded by clicking here in word, and here in .pdf.

It should be noted that the membership registration cut-off date for all those seeking eligibility to vote, or to be elected in this upcoming election, has been set at 11.59 pm PST of September 15, 2022.

The NGC encourages all interested parties to review the list of all eligible candidates and voting members, published on November 18, 2022. If anybody believes there are errors with either their own record or that of any other person (whether on the list or not), please send an email to ngc@usacricket.org by no later than 11.59 pm PST on December 4, 2022. All cases will be reviewed and resolved prior to the publication of the final list and the commencement of voting.

The Nominating and Governance Committee comprises experts with a diverse range of backgrounds from both within and outside cricket and are universally recognized leaders who collectively bring together significant knowledge and independence to this critically important role as USA Cricket prioritizes completing the 2021 election process in the coming months.
