Following a recent recruitment process, and in accordance with the identified strategic focus on women and girls in its Foundational Plan, USA Cricket is pleased to announce today the names of 14 Volunteer Women’s Coordinators who will help drive the next phase of growth and development in women’s cricket across the United States.

The Coordinators are spread across 12 cities in 10 states covering all of USA Cricket’s six Zones. Their appointment will help to support the delivery of key activities and initiatives set out in the Women & Girls Engagement Plan which is currently being developed by the Women & Girls Committee and will be announced in due course.

The overarching objective of the evolving Women & Girls Engagement Plan is to create more opportunities for women and girls to engage with cricket as players, coaches, umpires, scorers, fans and administrators through localized programs and initiatives, and there will be a series of key initiatives that are designed to achieve that objective which the Coordinators will help to support. They will also provide operational support to the Women’s Intra-Regional domestic competition, and the Regional and National competition pathway events which will be announced shortly.

Nadia Gruny, the Chair of the USA Cricket Women & Girls Committee said, “The appointment of a team of Volunteer Women’s Coordinators who share our desire to grow the women’s game is another really important step for USA Cricket as we continue to develop the platform on which we can achieve success in the strategic focus areas that we have identified in the Foundational Plan. The quality and enthusiasm of the applicants for these roles was very encouraging, and the breadth of experience and passion for cricket that they will now bring to the position will provide great support to the delivery of key initiatives in the evolving Engagement Plan and more broadly as we seek to develop the sport for women and girls in the USA”
