Bio
Christina Matthews is Chief Executive Officer of the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA), and was appointed to this role in December 2011. A former Australian cricketer, she was the country’s most capped female Test player and held the record for the most dismissals by an Australian wicketkeeper.
Previously, Matthews was serving as General Manager of Commercial Operations and Communication at Cricket New South Wales where she was responsible for strategic direction, managing partnerships with sponsors, right holders and suppliers, government relations, event management and had an active role in the development of the Blacktown training facility. In addition, she was also the Acting Chief Executive of the Association for prolonged periods.
Prior to joining Cricket NSW, Matthews was the General Manager of Sydney Grade Cricket Club Balmain for three years and also worked for Women’s Cricket Australia, Women’s Hockey Australia and the Victorian Football Association.
