Bio

David Lloyd Hemp is a cricket coach and former Bermuda International Cricket player who featured in 22 ODI and 2 T20I matches.

Hemp, a left-handed opening batter played in over 600 First Class, List A and T20 matches, mainly for Glamorgan, Warwickshire and England A, scoring 126 half-centuries and 38 centuries in the career that spanned 22 years.

Hemp was most recently employed by the Pakistan Cricket Board as the head coach of the National Women’s Team. He worked with the Pakistan Women’s team for two years from October 2020 to September 2002 before deciding against seeking a contract extension.

Hemp obtained an ECB Level 4 coaching qualification in 2012. He was the head coach of Melbourne Stars women’s team in Women Big Bash League for over 4 years from November 2015 to January 2020, and at the same time served Cricket Victoria’s State Senior Women’s team as the head coach.

Hemp’s was previously employed at Scotch College and Solihull School as Director of Cricket.

Hemp obtained a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Birmingham University Business School in 2003.
