Bio
Julia Clare Price is a former cricketer and wicket keeper for the Australian women’s national cricket team. She made her first-class debut in 1995 for Queensland Women and her Test debut against New Zealand at Melbourne in February 1996. Currently, Price is a Freelance Cricket Coach, TV and radio commentator.
Price has had an extensive career as a coach. Most recently, she also served as the US Women’s National Coach from March 2019 until early 2022.
Perhaps most notably, in 2019 Price joined Darren Lehmann’s coaching staff at the Brisbane Heat as an Assistant Coach, becoming the first female coach in the BBL.
Price was previously Female Cricket High Performance Manager at Cricket Tasmania where she worked for 5 years, also serving as the Women’s coach of the Tasmanian Roar and Hobart Hurricanes.
Price has also coached professionally in Scotland, South Africa and the Netherlands, and worked for the AFL (Australian Football League) Queensland for six years as the Female Program Manager.
