Bio

Monica Visser is currently serving the Royal Dutch Cricket Board (KNCB) as Chief Executive Officer, a role she has been performing since July 2022. As a CEO, she is tasked with spearheading the new direction taken on by KNCB, which is to help grow the global sport of cricket in the Netherlands.

Prior to joining the KNCB, she was at the Royal Dutch Rowing Board / Federation (KNRB) as a Secretary General for a period of 9 years, where she oversaw innovations resulting in overall growth and improvement in performance. Under her leadership, rowing realized a 33% growth in participation and is now an organization with 40,000 members. 

Visser has extensive experience in the international sporting world, having organized various World Cup rowing events.

Previously, Visser served Sportservice Flevoland for almost 15 years in different roles, most notably as a Director. Sportservice Flevoland is a sports knowledge center of Flevoland, focusing on the development and implementation of sports policy in the province. The main purpose is to promote health, regional economy, social cohesion and social participation. In addition Visser was the Alliance Manager Olympic Network Flevoland, Chairman of SportsPower12 and Chairman/Coordinator Olympic Network NL.

In her current role, Visser also serves as CEO of the Limited Liability Company BV, which is responsible for running major events, bringing that entity back under the unified control of the KNCB. She was also a Member of the Sports Council Amsterdam from Dec 2008 to Dec 2011. The Sports Council is an independent advising body that was established by the city council in 1952 to provide solicited and unsolicited advice on the main lines of sports policy in Amsterdam.
