Bio
Pierre de Bruyn is a South African cricket coach and a former South African domestic player.
de Bruyn is currently the head coach of the Namibian National Cricket Team, having been appointed in November 2018.
Previously, Pierre de Bruyn coached Leicestershire County Cricket Club from 2016 to 2017. Apart from playing and coaching, he has been a commentator and broadcaster for SuperSport.
Born in Pretoria, de Bruyn got his education from Zwartkop High School and later went on to represent Titans, Dolphins and Kwazulu Natal in First Class Cricket as well as One Day Cricket while also featuring in T20 cricket for Dolphins.
de Bruyn led Namibia to their first World Cup match victory when they triumphed against Netherlands in the ICC T20 World Cup in Abu Dhabi in October 2021.
