Bio
Cricket Tasmania appointed Scott Barnes as the General Manager of the Hobart Hurricanes in April 2019. Barnes is a sponsorship and commercial specialist with extensive experience in senior roles with various high-level Australian marketing and communications agencies.
Barnes was Managing Director of WPP Aus/NZ’s specialist sponsorship agency, PRISM, based in PRISM’s Sydney office. Previously, he was Head of Partnerships and Commercial at Ensemble Australia, a non-traditional creative agency. In addition, Barnes served as General Manager of Subnine, one of Australia’s leading sponsorship management businesses.
Barnes received a Bachelor in Management (Marketing and HR) from the University of Newcastle.
