Bio
Tom Dunmore is a US-based cricket executive. He is currently the Vice-President of Marketing at Major League Cricket, a position he has held since June 2021. Dunmore’s role includes bringing World Class Twenty20 cricket to America.
Dunmore has a range of experience, having worked in cricket, car racing, soccer and having also been an academic.
Dunmore was previously Senior Director of Marketing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where he was responsible for integrated marketing strategies that increased revenue, improved fan engagement and helped brand affinity growth.
Prior to that, Dunmore was the Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Operations at Indy Eleven Professional Soccer from Oct 2012 to Feb 2017. He built and stewarded the Indy Eleven brand, including strategic planning, community partnerships and creative direction.
Dunmore has also been volunteering for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club as the 15th anniversary Co-Chairman since October 2012. He also volunteered at Section 8 Chicago, the Independent Supporters’ Association for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club and Chicago Red Stars.
Dunmore started off as the Lecturer in the Social Sciences Division in University of Chicago. He was also the founder and Editor in Pitch Invasion, an award-winning blog about global soccer culture, politics and economics.
Dunmore has a Bachelor’s degree in Modern History and Politics from University of Manchester with a first-class honors grade in 2000. He has also received a PhD in International History from University of Chicago in 2009.
