Western Province Cricket Association has today announced the age group provincial teams selected for the respective CSA National Weeks to be held in December 2022.
WPCA Cricket Services Manager Clinton du Preez: “The excitement around the CSA Youth National Weeks is building and I am looking forward to our age group teams preparing for the weeks and to play to their full potential and delivering great individual and team performances. I would like to thank all the selectors who tireless offered their time to attend the trials and select very strong provincial squads.
It’s the first season that WPCA have 3 sets of brothers across the respective boys teams, namely Daniels, Salie and James brothers. It’s exciting to note that all the teams reflect players from our mass participation programs which includes our Hubs and Township Club program, this speaks volumes of the work being done in these areas by coaches and we remain grateful for a very strong pipeline.
All the best to our management teams which includes ex first class and international players, this bodes well for the experience brought to the squads.”
