Zimbabwe Cricket is the governing body for cricket in Zimbabwe. A full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), ZC oversees the national team and organizes international Test, ODI, and T20 matches. It also manages domestic cricket competitions such as the Castle Logan Cup, Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship, and Stanbic Bank 20 Series.

  • The last date of applying for accreditation is 29 April; Media terms and conditions, other details and requirements for travel can be downloaded from the Resources section of our Online Media Zone; for access to the Online Media Zone, please send in your name, designation, organization and e-mail ID to media@icc-cricket.com
  • Since it will take 21 working days to process permissions for working in Zimbabwe as per government guidelines, you are advised to apply if you think your team will be playing in the Qualifier and intimate us later if you want to withdraw

The media accreditation process for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, to be held in Zimbabwe from 18 June to 9 July, is now open. You can apply by filling up the media accreditation form here.

Members of the media who intend to cover this event from the venues are advised to submit their applications for non-rights holders’ accreditation by 17h00 Dubai time on Saturday, 29 April 2023.

Media persons whose accreditation applications are approved, will be provided with visa letters, should they require them. Please contact Darlington Majonga (details below) for the visa letters as well as any other matter regarding the media accreditation process and collection of accreditation cards.

Please note that the media will be asked to select the matches they intend to cover at a later point in time.

To apply for media accreditation, you will need to upload the following:

  1. A colour headshot photograph with a plain background (like a passport photo) (.jpg file, maximum 1 MB in size)
  2. Scanned copy of the photo page of valid passport, national ID or driving license (.pdf file, maximum 2 MB in size)
  3. Letter of approval/assignment from the editor on official letterhead (.pdf file, maximum 2 MB in size)

The ICC reserves the right to approve/reject/request further information on all applications in its sole discretion and without providing reasons for doing so.

The media will have to adhere to all the media terms and conditions and bio-security protocols in place for the event or will risk getting their accreditation cards revoked.

As of now, there are no quarantine requirements in Zimbabwe. However, the media is responsible for checking on any developments and will be required to adhere to any government guidelines and bear costs related to any tests, procedures or quarantine should they be required.

By sending the information requested above, it will be understood that the applicant has agreed to and accepted the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 Media Accreditation Terms and Conditions which are available HERE.

Zimbabwe government guidelines: Please note that as per Zimbabwe government guidelines, all journalists, whether local or foreign, are required to get a clearance from the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services (MIPBS) and then obtain a certificate of accreditation from the Zimbabwe Media Commission (ZMC).

It is important that you apply by the deadline because it may take up to 21 working days to complete this process. So, if you think you may be travelling for the event but are not sure if your team will qualify, please apply for accreditation and then inform us if you are withdrawing.

There is also a nominal fee to be paid during the process. Complete guidelines are available in the Resources section of the Online Media Zone.
