Zimbabwe Cricket is the governing body for cricket in Zimbabwe. A full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), ZC oversees the national team and organizes international Test, ODI, and T20 matches. It also manages domestic cricket competitions such as the Castle Logan Cup, Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship, and Stanbic Bank 20 Series.

In anticipation of a huge spectator turnout, Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) and Cricket Ireland have agreed to move the second one-day international (ODI) match between their senior men’s teams in Harare this month to a Saturday.

That game was originally scheduled for Friday, 20 January, but it will now be played on Saturday, 21 January.

The rest of the schedule remains unchanged, with the first ODI set for Wednesday, 18 January, and the third and final taking place on Monday, 23 January.

All the matches will be played at Harare Sports Club.

Before the ODI series, Zimbabwe and Ireland will first meet at the same venue in three Twenty20 international (T20I) matches scheduled for Thursday, 12 January, followed by the weekend double-header pencilled in for Saturday, 14 January, and Sunday, 15 January.

“We are grateful to our colleagues at Cricket Ireland for agreeing to tweak the schedule a bit by moving the second ODI initially scheduled for a Friday to the next day in order to give our fans an opportunity to come out and enjoy the action on a day when most of them are not at work,” ZC Director of Cricket Hamilton Masakadza said.

“It’s now over to our fans to turn up in their numbers, like they have been doing in the last six months, and make this another memorable series pitting two exciting sides against each other.”

Tickets for the series are now on sale online at www.webtickets.co.za and will also be available at the venue gates on matchdays.

There will be free entry for pensioners and children in full school uniform.
